Diving Fish Nemo RTR RC Toy Submarine Review | rc submarines shop

rc submarines shop

Hi I’m Shane and I am an RCoholic. It seems I am passing my addiction on to my kids as well with this cute little RC Nemo fish. That’s right a remote controlled Nemo fish. This toy will make your kids scream like…well two year old girls. Trust me I know. If you want the skinny on RC Nemo read on.

Last week the guys over at Hobbytron sent me a big box of toys to check out including the Cessna 182 I reviewed, a sweet RC helicopter and a mystery toy as they called it. Turns out the mystery toy was this really cute little Nemo fish that is remote controlled.

Nemo RC Toy Face

If you have kids you have no doubt seen Nemo more times that should be allowed by law. While this little toy isn’t “officially” Nemo he is a clown fish that is very Nemoesque. Size wise the toy is small enough to be used inside some aquariums as well as small children’s swimming pools and the bathtub.

RC Submarine Basics | rc submarine

rc submarine

There are radio controlled models representing just about any kind of full-size vehicle that you can imagine (and some you can't). That includes vessels for underwater exploration. RC Submarines range in size from little bathtub or aquarium toys for in-home exploration to submarines that are as big as your bathtub designed for deep sea (or at least deep lake) exploration.

The submarine model hobby includes both static models meant only for display and radio controlled models that are intended for fun on and under the water. As with other RC vehicles, RC submarines have a hand-held controller that communicates with an on-board receiver enclosed in a water-tight compartment. Although the on-board electronics are built to be water-tight and submersible, the controller may not be. So don't jump in the pool and go underwater with your controller.

RC submarines can be purchased as Ready-to-Run (RTR) models or you can build RC submarines from kits (unassembled) or from scratch. The two main groups of RC submarines are toy subs and hobby-grade scale models. There are also RC working subs that come in radio controlled and remote control models. These research vessels are used for underwater photography and scientific exploration and generally built for a specific purpose. These aren't your typical RC subs that you get at Wal-Mart or your local hobby shop.

Ready-to-Run RC Submarines

Ready-to-Run RC submarines include both novelty toys for kids as well as larger, more elaborate RC subs that can provide hours of entertainment for adults. At the lower end of the price scale, these submersible toys generally have a limited range, may or may not look like real, full-size submarines and include other submersible toys such as RC sharks. Basic functions include going up and down (diving) and turning. Not all toy subs are meant for kids. Fancier subs with more authentic detailing, greater range, static diving systems, and upgradeable features can sometimes cost several hundred dollars or more. These RTR subs may be sold at toy stores as well as hobby shops and online.

Ocean Explorer - RC Submarine

Summer always make your kids contact with water more often then the other seasons. They will dive in bathtubs, or will submerge themselves into the pool (if available) to release the heat of summer, and of course, to have some fun. So, why don’t we add some more fun for your kids with this RC Ocean Explorer?

Ocean Explorer RC Submarine

It’s submarine RC toy which is best for summer uses. It could accompanied your kids in the pool, or even let them have some fun in the bathtub (if no pool available). The powerful twin motors enable your kids to make Ocean Explorer Dive as deep as 6 feet. But I’m sure there is no 6′ deep bathtub! :)

You can take your kids to pool anyway. In a larger area, the can do more tricks with Ocean Explorer.

Thunder Tiger Neptune SB-1 Static Diving Submarine : rc submerine

Thunder Tiger Neptune SB-1 Static Diving Submarine

The NEPTUNE submarine is the 1st underwater R/C model by Thunder Tiger.
Equipped with high technology operating equipment in the inner hull tub, covered by the brilliantly yellow outer hull, the SB-1 will let you enjoy the otherwise hidden, underwater world.

Adopting a static diving system, the SB-1 is just like the real thing. The system is driven by ballast tank with pump & motor unit. Start the pump to induct the water into the ballast tank. Control the amount of water in the ballast
tank, the submarine can dive from the surface and stay underwater in static.
Using the propulsion power unit and full elevator and rudder control, you can drive the submarine under water with ease.

Equipped with an auto detect protection system, if the system detects low battery power, low transmisson signal or leakage, then the roll pump will auto start to flood the water out of the ballast tank and make the SB-1 float back to the surface.

Submarines on a Smaller Scale : rc submarine

rc submarine

Model submarines are crafted by those who enjoy making small versions of the large sea-going vessels that can wondrously stay submerged under water for long periods of time. Submarine model kits are not only for displaying, but also a way to take the creator's love of boating and the water to a smaller scale that they can keep in their homes or offices. For many years, people of all ages have enjoyed making model versions of trains, planes and just about any other mode of transport - including boats and submarines.

Can these tiny versions of the real submarines do more than share a stately place on a shelf? For many enthusiasts of model-making, submarines as models can also go underwater and withstand water. These types of models involve a lot of custom-made parts and mechanical work to make them work in the water.

The detail that goes into much of the making of model boats and submarines involves finding parts that include accessories like scopes and steering mechanisms, as well as propellers and motors. The kind of accessories that are purchased and custom-designed for model boats and submarines depends on the exact kind of model that is being made.

Scopes that are used in model submarines can be either mechanical or stationary. Mechanical scopes and other devices that move the model boat can involve wiring and electronics to make the parts work. This involves the knowledge of how to put the working parts together; in most basic kits, there are no moving parts that require the labor of installing parts to make the model move or function in the water. People who construct the more advanced type of model submarines and boats often find their specialty parts on the Internet, and many are parts of groups that all share the common interest of making model boats and submarines.

The outer shell of model submarines can be made by using different materials, although most people choose to use a metal or alloy or a combination of the two to form a life-like replica of a real submarine. Plastics can also be used but are sometimes not as easy to mold and form to make the circular junctions that are a part of making model submarines. Softer alloys or metals tend to form easier and make better rounded edges when forming the outer sides.

Choosing the Model Submarine to Build For Your Collection: rc submarine

rc submarine

You can also look into submarines that have always caught your eye. For instance, you may like the submarines of the 1900's like the Espadon, Sirene, Triton and Silure. These submarines were built in 1901 and designed to look like torpedo boats. When the area of the two hull skins flooded, the submarine went underwater.

As you look around for a submarine model to do, keep in mind that you don't have to build one for decoration only. You can also get a model that is radio controlled and use it if you'd like. If you have submarine model races in your town, you could use it then. No matter what you plan to do with your submarine model, always pick one out that relates to you in some form or fashion.

Sometimes it's good to ask for help if you get stuck on a particular project. Be sure to find someone who knows what they are doing or research for tips on your own. Either way, you want your building submarine days to be good ones you remember not days of frustration.
